BIOGRAPHY
Leonidas Rompolis is a lecturer in Finance at the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Athens University of Economics and Business. He was born in Athens in 1977 where he finished high school. He studied Mathematics at the University of Athens. He holds an M.Sc in “Statistics and Stochastic Models in Economics and Finance” from Paris 7 and Paris 1 Universities and ENSAE and a Ph.D in Finance from the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Athens University of Economics and Business.
During the period 2008 – 2010 he was a lecturer in Finance at the Department of Public and Business Administration at University of Cyprus. He also taught at the Athens University of Economics and Business, the National Technical University of Athens and as a visiting lecturer at the University of Cyprus.
His research interests are in the field of stocks, bonds and derivatives valuation, financial mathematics, computational finance, financial econometrics, corporate financial management. His work has been published in academic journals, such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Empirical Finance.
He has also served as a referee to several journals such as the International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, Computational Economics.
