Dimitrios Tomaras is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Athens University of Economics and Business. He holds a Ph.D. (2023) and M.Sc. (2014) in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business and a B.Sc. (2012) in Computer Science from the Department of Informatics from the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens. He has held visiting research appointment at the Competence Center Machine Learning Rhine-Ruhr (currently Lamarr Institute), TU-Dortmund, Dortmund, Germany. His h-index is 5, holds 109 citations and has an Erdös number of 3. Until now, he has participated in 4 projects funded by the European Commission.
His primary research interests include Data Analysis in Computer Systems and Sensor Networks, particularly Mobile and Sensor Networks; Big Data Management in Parallel and Distributed Architectures; Big Data Analytics in Parallel and Distributed Architectures; Spatio-Temporal Data Management; Crowd Data Management; Data Privacy Management.
